About Mr. Shumway
Mr. Shumway handles a wide variety of litigation matters covering all aspects of business transactions, evictions, collection matters and real estate and construction.
Prior to creating his private practice, Mr. Shumway spent 15+ years in banking, working in the areas of commercial lending, loan administration, and problem loan workouts.
With his experience in banking and his education in Business and Law, Mr. Shumway has been representing both debtors and creditors in bankruptcy cases for over 30 years, handling chapter 7, chapter 13, and chapter 11 cases, successfully litigating for creditors in several bankruptcy cases.
He’s also worked extensively on real estate law, helping landlords, both commercial and residential, resolve problems with tenants for over 20 years, as well as a variety of other real estate-related issues from permits, to leasing, sales, construction defects, quiet title, foreclosures, and more.
